Why do men disappear when they learn I'm heavy?
I am a 50-year old woman who, like a lot of Americans, has a weight problem. I am not into telling lies, so when I do get a response and tell the person that I am overweight, that is the end. No response — just dead air. So what should I say?

Should I just give up on dating?
I can't seem to hold on to a boyfriend for more than a few months. I have been so disappointed by this behavior in men that I don't believe anything a man says and have been thinking about not dating any longer.

Why don't women like braniacs?
I have noticed that most women’s profiles list "Braniacs" as a turn-off. Does intelligence cause women to run for the hills? If so I am in trouble. Or does the term “Braniac” imply a different meaning?

How can I improve my response rate?
I've been responding to a number of profiles that match my interests, but I haven't received any response. I sent the basic "Hi, I read your profile and you seem like a great person...." message, but do you have any advice for a better introduction email?

Why do guys reply once and then go silent?
Why do men reply to my online profile and then go silent when I respond back with a friendly hello? I don't get it, and I'm confused. Any light you can shine on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

What do I do when we're growing distant?
My girlfriend and I live in different cities. We have been together for almost a year now, and the situation is starting to seem increasingly unreal. She says she loves me, but she recently decided against moving in with me, and now it doesn't seem as though we'll ever be in the same place.

Should I tell him I lied about my age?
My profile wasn't getting much attention, so I changed one detail (I subtracted eight years from my age) and started having better luck. Should I tell the people I meet the truth, and if so, when? Should I wait until we are in a relationship?

Why did she stop emailing me and what should I do?
A woman started emailing me from Match.com, and we hit it off right away — or at least I thought. We didn’t exchange numbers though, and then she stopped emailing me. Why would she just drop off like that? If I send her another note, what should I say?

Should I mention in my profile that I like feet?
I'm trying to figure out how to write my profile. I find women's feet to be sexy... very sexy. Should I even mention it in my ad or do you think it would scare otherwise great women away?
